Take a look below to find jokes based on Metal Gear Rising, Metroid, Kingdom Hearts, Ace Attorney, and more. ![]() Those two posts are the main video parodies going viral today, but many others are getting in on the fun with written parodies of the Forspoken ad. So let me get this straight /la80aJ6gDf- SungWon Cho August 9, 2022 One video from YouTuber SungWon Cho parodies Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Danganronpa in the same video, with lines such as Danganronpa's Monokuma saying, "I guess that's something I do now! I kill high schoolers." 9IpBvw06a5- wes August 10, 2022īut the parodies don't stop with Bloodborne. The most elaborate of these parodies applies the same writing style to FromSoftware's Bloodborne, with lines like, "I'm seeing freaking werewolves, and, oh yeah, I'm talking to a doll!" The internet will do what the internet does, and it wasn't long before parodies of the Forspoken ad started rolling out on Twitter. I do magic, kill jacked-up beasts, I'll probably fly next."Ī beautiful and cruel new land? Twisted monsters? An array of magical abilities? Sentient jewellery!? Welcome to the world of #Forspoken. I'm somewhere that's not what I would call Earth… I'm seeing freaking dragons… And… Oh yeah, I'm talking to a cuff. The excessive monologues in Days Gone was simply one of the many issues with that game, and by far not the worst issue it had. Here's what the ad has the main character saying: Now I'll give you that the focus on the issue in HFW was higher than in Days Gone, but that's probably just because there's a lot less wrong with HFW, so this one issue stands out more when compared to the rest of the game, which is excellent. I doubt anyone would have been any more keen to constantly hear "I can find that later in my stash" if it came from a male protagonist. Guerilla Games even reduced the amount of times certain voice lines are used in an update. I think it's really unfair to come into a progressive forum like Resetera, where the opinion that Aloy talks too much is shared by a large amount of people, and imply that it's only because of a bias against women. The complaint of protagonists speaking too much aren't new, nor are they unique to Aloy. Maybe it's true of some people, but not all. Yeah, Aloy faced extra scrutiny for being a female protagonist, but that doesn't necessarily mean anyone who dislike how much she spoke is a misogynist. ![]() ![]() You latched on to the example of Nathan Drake and Spider-Man, because it fits your opinion, then conveniently overlooked the posts pointing out that Deacon from Days Gone faced the same criticism. I'm going to be honest, I think you're grasping at straws here.
